Tooth implants
Tooth implants
An implant (dental implant) is the foundation for a new tooth. The screw, made of high-quality titanium, is inserted into the bone structure of the maxilla or mandible and forms the foundation for a prosthetic tooth crown, which does not differ in appearance from the patient’s own dentition. At EuroDent Dentistry Center, a team of specialists will propose an appropriate implantological solution, conduct the procedure and provide post-treatment care.
Implants are recommended for people who:
– have missing single teeth;
– have extensive gaps or edentulism, which make it impossible to make prosthetic bridges;
– require stabilization of removable dentures;
– do not tolerate removable prosthetic restorations.
The implantation procedure is not new. Improved for many years, both in terms of materials and implantation techniques, it gives the patient confidence that the treatment will be safe. EuroDent Dentistry Center uses the latest technical achievements, and there are specialists at your disposal who constantly update their knowledge in the field of the latest implantation techniques.
Classification for the procedure
Accurate diagnostics is the basis of a successful procedure. Panoramic image or computed tomography provide an image that allows for the initial assessment and planning of the implant technique. The patient’s health, medications and oral hygiene are very important factors. If there are contraindications, the doctor will inform the patient and indicate the reasons.
The course of implantological treatment
If the mandible or mandible bones are healthy, the hole for the titanium screw – an implant is first drilled. If the doctor determines in advance that the bones should be strengthened due to decay, the regeneration procedure is performed before implantation. The procedure may take up to 2 hours depending on many factors. After the implant is made, there is a healing period lasting several months. During this time, the new tissue adapts and the implant is built into the bone. After this period, the tooth crown can be mounted, which is attached to a special connecting screw. The entire treatment process requires local anesthesia to ensure a painless and comfortable procedure.
